Natural technology

Here you’ll find a simple explanation of how natural biological activation technology works.

We start by answering a few questions, to make everything much clearer and understandable how the BactPro line works.

What are bacteria and why are they so important?

Bacteria are among the most ancient forms of life, in millions of years they have adapted to any environment: volcanoes, seabed and the depths of the earth.

They are ubiquitous, meaning they are present on virtually any object or living form, they are found in our homes, they even live on our skin and inside our intestines.

Bacteria can seem scary, but only a small minority of them are pathogenic for humans, on the contrary many of them make us healthy, creating with our body important collaborations.

In the environment they play the role of ”sweepers”: they eat, degrade and convert decomposing organic material into mineral compounds that can be used by plants, animals and more complex organisms.

How do bad odors get created?

Let’s see together how bad odors are created and how we can exploit the capabilities of bacteria.

Bad odors are mainly the direct consequence of natural degradation processes, carried out by microorganisms. Let’s take urine for example: it is a secretion produced by our body to get rid of metabolic waste products; it is traditionally considered sterile, with a characteristic but not nauseating odor.

So why does it smell so bad when it remains on tissues and surfaces? The bacteria already present in the environment trigger a series of degradative processes of urea, releasing into the air: ammonia and other malodorous compounds; always produced by the bacteria during the metabolic process. So the bad smells that we perceive are mainly created by bacterial fermentations.

What are the products that we can use to eliminate bad odors?

Deodorizers or Neutralizers:

They simply cover up bad odors with scents or inhibit our noses from perceiving them as such.

Once the time-limited effect is over, the bad odors return….

Disinfectants:

They act through biocides that go to eliminate a part of the bacteria present, giving us for a few hours a feeling of cleanliness.

The biocides commonly used in cleaning products, deactivate in the presence of organic residues and perform their disinfectant function in a limited amount of time.

The remaining bacteria will begin to reproduce, repopulating the treated area and bringing back bad odors, resulting in the need to reapply biocides, putting us in contact and releasing high concentrations of harmful chemicals into the environment.

Biological Activators:

Utilize these inevitable natural processes of bacterial degradation, modifying their effects in the process.

BactPro, through the use of non-pathogenic bacteria that are harmless to humans and the environment and replace the naturally occurring bacterial population, promotes rapid, complete, odorless digestion of organic compounds, ensuring ultimate odor control.

How do the bacteria remove the organic?

Pulizia-profonda-e-duratura

They use enzymes, which can be simplified as “scissors”, proteins synthesized by bacteria to break complex organic molecules into simpler ones, able to be transported inside the bacterial cell and to be finally transformed into energy used by the bacterium to live, developing in the process odorless inorganic elements, such as water and carbon dioxide.
